Expo 2020 Dubai was one of the most ambitious events ever staged - a world coming together in the middle of a pandemic to celebrate creativity, culture, and connection. Amid hundreds of pavilions and countless stories, I found myself on a mission of my own: to collect every single country stamp in my Expo Passport. What started as a lighthearted challenge turned into an unforgettable journey across the world in one place.

It was a time filled with learning, adventure, and unexpected complications, all heightened by the extraordinary circumstances of a world still navigating COVID. From ever-changing rules and restrictions to discovering the creativity and resilience that defined the event, the experience was as challenging as it was inspiring.

Seville is one of those cities that stays with you long after you’ve left, and visiting in the winter months made it even more special. The weather was perfect for exploring - comfortably warm for biking along the river, strolling through winding streets, and pausing to admire the city’s stunning blend of Moorish and Gothic architecture.

Seville’s rich history seems to unfold around every corner, from the grandeur of the Cathedral to the quiet charm of its hidden courtyards. Add to that the incredible food scene, where tapas are both an art form and a way of life, and the city feels endlessly inviting.

What makes Seville even more appealing to me is its manageable size - big enough to be vibrant and full of discovery, yet intimate enough to feel welcoming and easy to navigate. It’s no wonder it has become one of my favourite cities in the world.
